United Announce New Coaching Staff

Manchester United have not wasted another second in confirming their coaching staff that would assist the newly appointed manager David Moyes. Moyes began his Old Trafford reign on Monday morning, taking up the responsibilities of the former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

United have declared the name of Steve Round as the new assistant manager for the club. Moyes has apparently replaced the whole first-team coaching staff inherited from Sir Alex by his own coaching staff from Everton.

Moyes arrived at the AON Training Complex- Carrington- at eight this morning and is ready to take on his responsibilities as a manager now. Chris Woods has been named as the goalkeeping coach and Jimmy Lumsden has been handed a role behind the scenes. His next big duty would be to settle things with Wayne Rooney on Tuesday.

The Scot said to United’s official website,

"I have worked with Steve, Chris and Jimmy for a number of years and I am delighted they have decided to join me at this great club," Moyes said.

"They bring great qualities in their respective fields and I know that, like me, they feel that this is a challenge to relish. I have great faith that together, we can build upon the success this Club has enjoyed over many years."

Manchester United have also made their new sponsorship deal with Thai telecommunications company True public. True will reportedly become United’s official mobile partner and MUTV broadcaster in Thailand.

Ed Woodward, David Gill’s successor as the club’s Chief Executive said,

"I have worked with Steve, Chris and Jimmy for a number of years and I am delighted they have decided to join me at this great club," Moyes said.

"They bring great qualities in their respective fields and I know that, like me, they feel that this is a challenge to relish. I have great faith that together, we can build upon the success this Club has enjoyed over many years."
