Everton eyeing move for Toby Alderweireld

The Merseyside club are interested in a move for Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld, according to reports from Belgium.

The highly rated Ajax star has been speculated to be interested in a move to the Premier League since the start of the summer. Premier League sides Nowich City and Liverpool are also keen to acquire his services. Norwich had made an offer for the talented defender, which was accepted by the Eredivisie side Ajaz last week, but the defender turned down a switch to the Canaries in search of a move elsewhere.


Earlier in the summer he agreed a move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen but the deal collapsed at the last minute.Ajax are keen to allow the 24-year-old a move this summer as he is out of contract in June next year and they are afraid of losing him for free.
