Sami Khedira laughs off Chelsea interest

German midfielder Sami Khedira has no plans to quit Real Madrid and has no plan to re-join his former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea. It has been reported that the German international wants to quit the Bernabeu.

However, it appears that Khedira is, at least for the time being, happy to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. Khedira has two years to go on his Real Madrid contract.


"I have enjoyed working with him [Mourinho] very much and rate him highly," Khedira said. "Three years ago he handed me the chance to make the next step from the Bundesliga to Real Madrid as a young international. But I am contracted to Real and now I am first of all looking forward to working with Carlo Ancelotti.


"I am full of anticipation as I am still very proud to be playing for Real Madrid. Whoever plays for this huge club competes for titles. I am convinced that the work under Carlo Ancelotti will take me one step further."
