Chelsea tell Ryan Bertrand he won't be joining Liverpool
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had a long talk with defender Ryan Bertrand about the youngster's future, and assured the left back that he would be an important part of the Chelsea first team squad for the coming season.
Bertrand has been one of the Blues' most improved players in recent years and Bertrand proved to be a regular first team player under Rafa Benitez last year. Since then, there has been some suggestion that Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers would make a move for the left defender.
However, it has been reported that Chelsea have immediately rejected an enquiry from Liverpool for the defender, and told the team that they have no hope of signing the player as he is seen an eventual replacement for Ashley Cole.
