Napoli wrap up deal to sign Gonzalo Higuain
Gonzalo Higuain has completed a 35.5 million Euro move from Real Madrid to Napoli, thus Napoli have beaten Arsenal to the Argentinian's signature. The Gunners will now turn their full attention to signing Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.
Higuain told Real Madrid at the end of last season that he would like a new challenge, and Arsenal were believed to have made 3 offers for the striker over the course of the summer. Since then, though, the Gunners were unable to make an agreement with Real for the forward and Arsene Wenger decided to focus his attentions elsewhere.
Napoli have agreed a five year contract with Higuain, who has already successfully completed a medical yesterday and will link up with his new team-mates tomorrow for pre-season training.
