Marco Borriello to quit Roma this summer
Marco Borriello to quit Roma this summer
AS Roma forward Marco Borriello is actively seeking a new club to play for, with the Italian forward telling club directors that he would prefer a move to a team where he is guaranteed regular first team football.
Serie A newcomers Livorno are surprise candidates for Borriello, but in recent weeks Tottenham and Inter Milan have also expressed an interest.
Borriello had been expected to travel with Roma's squad for a tour of North America, but the forward has been left behind to speak with agents regarding his future. Roma have given him permission to speak to other clubs.
Borriello spent last year on loan at Genoa and impressed, but Roma are hoping to push Marco off of the wage bill as he does not feature in manager Rudi Garcia's plans for the new year. Gervinho is also expected to join the club sometime this week.
