Claudio Marchisio Flattered By United Interest But Will Stay At Juventus
Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is admittedly flattered by reports linking him with a move to big clubs like Manchester United, but the player denies the chances of a club exit this summer.
A host of Premier League clubs have shown interest in Marchisio and reports claim that he is being targeted as an alternative for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas by Manchester United. David Moyes has been looking for a senior midfield signing this summer but the Juventus player seems set to disappoint him.
In his interview with Tuttosport, the 27-year-old said,
"Obviously, I will not deny that I feel flattered when I see my name being linked with other clubs, including some of the most important and biggest in the world.
"This is proof that I'm doing a good job and that others value what I do. It makes me proud that there are teams that rate me.
"However, I have not talked to anyone and there are no concrete offers. I spoke with Juventus and they told me I'm still wanted. My desire is to stay here and win more trophies.”
Marchisio’s present contract with Juventus expires in June 2016.
