Arsenal still in the hunt for Suarez
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is still interested in signing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer.
Arsenal have failed to sign any new player this summer after having lost out to Napoli in the race to sign former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Gunners made an offer of £40 million plus one for the Uruguay international but Liverpool rejected it. The Merseyside club claimed that £40 million is not the buy out price in the player's contract contrary to what was being widely reported.
Having been provided with a transfer kitty of £70 million, Wenger is keen to bring in reinforcements this summer before the new season kicks off in another couple of weeks.
Wenger said: "I don't want to speak about Suarez, because that is between Liverpool and Arsenal. We will completely respect what Liverpool wants to do. We want to (sign the player) if it is feasible in an amicable way.
"I am a great believer you have to keep as much confidentiality as possible, which is quite difficult in the modern world.
