Exit door likely for Man City duo Scott Sinclair and Gareth Barry
Exit door likely for Man City duo Scott Sinclair and Gareth Barry
Manchester City have left Scott Sinclair and Gareth Barry at home as the Premier League giants traveled to Finland for a pre-season friendly. The English duo are expected to both complete moves elsewhere before the season's opening day.
When asked about the duo, manager Manuel Pellegrini said: "We’ll see next week. Scott Sinclair is not here with the squad. Scott is in Manchester. Denis Suarez, Gareth Barry and Scott Sinclair are in Manchester."
Scott Sinclair has been persistently linked with a move away and a whole host of clubs have made an enquiry for his services. West Brom are believed to be in pole position; but West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham are also interested.
Meanwhile, Gareth Barry's future remains uncertain. The England international midfielder had been linked with a transfer to Arsenal but the Gunners decided against making an offer. Former club Aston Villa are surprise candidates for Barry's signature.
