Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld admits Premier League interest

Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld has admitted that he would consider a switch to the Premier League depending upon the pedigree of the club.

The Belgian International has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the start of the summer transfer window with the likes of Norwich City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur all said to be interested in his services.


It is reported that the 24-year-old would prefer a switch to North London side Tottenham Hotspur should the club come for him.

Alderweireld told Sky Sports : "It depends if there is a club coming [in] that I want to go to.


"But I'm patient and we will see in a few days.

"We will see, if [Tottenham] are very interested then I will hear what their plans are.

"I didn't hear from [Everton]. But those are beautiful clubs and the Premier League is a beautiful competition, so we will see."
