De Boer disappointed to see Eriksen leave

Ajax Amsterdam boss Frank de Boer has admitted that Christian Eriksen's departure from the club this summer would deal a huge blow to their silverware aspirations this season.

Tottenham Hotspurs are in talks with the 21 year Denmark international and the promising midfielder is on the verge of securing a move to White Hart Lane.

The north Londoners have been extremely active this summer having signed Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue, Roberto Soldado and mroe recently Erik Lamela. Despite continued rumors suggesting Gareth Bale will move to Real Madrid this summer, Spurs have been able to hold on to their prized possession so far.

Although the deal is not yet done, De Boer is confident that Eriksen would be a major success in England if the transfer goes through.

"His departure will be an enormous loss, Chris was very important for us," De Boer told De Telegraaf

"We always have work in a good way. Players who are that good and also the ideal professional are, for a coach, the most ideal players."

"It would surprise me if that(his success in the Premier League) won't happen."
