Everton to sign Gareth Barry on loan?
Everton are reportedly eyeing up a move for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry on a season-long loan deal, as per Sky Sports.
The former Aston Villa skipper has found his status with the Citizens as vulnerable, ever since the signing of the likes of Jesus Navas and Fernandinho this summer.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Toffees manager Roberto Martinez is looking to acquire the services of Gareth Barry on a temporary loan deal.
Premier League clubs Arsenal and Aston Villa have also shown desire on the player's signature, but are yet to make any formal enquiry.
A switch to Goodison Park would be the best option for Barry given the guarantee that her would be offered first-team football to cement his place in the England national side for next year's World Cup in Brazil.
