Daniel Sturridge to miss crucial Ukraine game
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will be missing the crucial World Cup qualifying match against the Ukraine. A win in the qualifier, held in Kiev, will put England's qualifying hopes right on track but they will need to do that without the in form Liverpool man.
Whilst Danny Welbeck will also be missing alongside Arsenal starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; the missing Sturridge means that Southampton forward Rickie Lambert will take full responsibility for England's goalscoring efforts against the Ukraine.
It has been announced that Sturridge will not recover in time for this weekend's game leaving England manager Roy Hodgson likely to start Lambert again with Jermain Defoe on the bench.
