Man Utd interested in Barcelona starlet Sergi Roberto

Manchester United are set to step up their interest in Barcelona starlet Sergi Roberto, when the transfer window opens up in January.

The Under-21 Spain International was denied a loan switch to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer, as manager Gerardo Martino was keen on providing the promising midfielder with a fair share of first team opportunities.


Manchester United boss David Moyes has been in the search of midfielders since the summer, having failed in his pursuits of targets such as Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas.


According to sources in Spain, the Red Devils will have to battle Bayern Munich inorder to acquire the services of the talented midfielder come January.
