Inter Milan enter race to sign Arsenal target Karim Benzema
Serie A giants Inter Milan are set to battle it out with Arsenal for the signing of Karim Benzema during the January transfer window, according to reports from Italy.
The Nerazzurri are expected to have a spending spree following the takeover by Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, who has been tipped to hand manager Walter Mazzarri substantial funds in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Inter are keen to get back to their title winning credentials, after the past few years of underachievement and Karim Benzema is the latest player on their transfer shortlist.
The 25-year-old has received severe criticism from the Madrid faithful, in spite of scoring on four occasions in 11 appearances this season.
Arsenal have also been heavily associated with a move for the Frenchman, as manager Wenger tries to provide competition to Olivier Giroud.
Los Blancos would likely cash in on the player during the January transfer window, as they look to have substantial funds to make a buy of their own.
