Leighton Baines again linked with Man Utd move in January

Manchester United are ready to push Everton into the sale of star defender Leighton Baines in the January transfer window, with manager David Moyes set to raid his former club with a £15 million bid for the England international left back.

Baines had been linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer but all offers for the defender were rejected by the Toffees and the defender has again shown this season the qualities that makes him one of the most highly rated defenders in the country.


United are ready to test the Toffees' resolve with a renewed bid come January as there appears to be some uncertainty over the long term future of Man Utd's first choice left defender Patrice Evra. The full back has been linked a move to French giants Monaco and PSG.


Everton have already been monitoring Swansea City defender Ben Davies as well as Chelsea backup defender Ryan Bertrand as potential replacements.
