Besiktas keen on signing Emmanuel Adebayor
Besiktas Vice-President Ahmet Nur Cebi has admitted that the Turkish outfit would make a move to sign Togolese International Emmanuel Adebayor from Tottenham Hotspur during the winter transfer window.
Having failed in their pursuit of the talented striker during the summer, Besiktas are keen on renewing their interest, with Cebi claiming that plans are now in place to make a renewed bid for Adebayor's services in the January transfer window.
Cebi also insisted that the club would find it hard to lure Adebayor to Turkey, with the player keen on plying his trade in the Premier League.
"We were interested in Adebayor in August," He said. "The club will target Adebayor again in January, but it's difficult to sign such marketable players."
