Arsenal monitoring Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is reportedly being monitored by Premier League giants Arsenal, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
The Dane failed to make a switch to the Premier League having been rejected a move to Hull City Tigers during the summer, but The Mirror reports that the Foxes expect the talented goalkeeper to leave the Championship outfit should they fail to secure a promotion to Endland's top flight this season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on finding an efficient back-up option to current number one Wojciech Szczesny, and the signing of Kasper, who is the son of former Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel is considered the perfect option.
Arsenal are expected to make a move to sign Kasper Schmeichel on a pre-contract agreement during the New Year.
