Man Utd and Liverpool prepared to trigger Arda Turan's release clause
Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United are apparently readying a January transfer bid for Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan.
The duo are apparently prepared to activate the £33m release clause in the player's contract. The Turkish international's agent had recently admitted that his client dreams of playing in the Premier League, and the Daily Mail claims that the North East rivals could be set for a transfer battle during the New year.
Red Devils manager David Moyes is keen on signing a few players to his midfield department, and is believed to be monitoring Cruzeiro star Everton Ribeiro, although Turan looks the much better prospect to suit his needs.
Meanwhile, the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on adding more quality to his attack minded setup as he eyes the price of a return to Champions League football next season.
Turan has scored three goals in 14 appearances for Atletico this season.
