Liverpool eye move for Porto midfielder Fernando
Liverpool are keen on signing Porto star Fernando in January, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
Brendan Rodgers is keen on adding midfield recruits during the winter, as he wants to bolster the club's overall setup to help the Reds in earning a vital Champions League qualification spot this season.
According to A Bola, Liverpool have made contact with player's agent over a January move, as the midfielder is free to indulge in contract negotiations with other clubs with his deal expiring in the summer.
Liverpool are likely to face competition from a number of Italian clubs which include Juventus, Napoli, Inter and Fiorentina, who are all keen on securing Fernando's signature.
