Porto star Jackson Martinez interested in Arsenal switch

Porto striker Jackson Martinez has revealed that he grew up as an Arsenal fan and would love to join the Premier League giants some time in his career.

The talented marksman has been increasingly linked with a switch to the North London outfit, following his admiration for the club.


"I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play," Martinez said. "It's flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes, it would be suitable for a player like me."


"If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn't hesitate to accept it."


Manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be in the search for a 'Special Player' who could strengthen the team's striking department in the winter transfer window.
