Arsenal weighing up move for Jamaal Lascelles
Nottingham Forest centre back Jamaal Lascelles has been watched in action by Arsenal's chief scout Steve Rowley. The Gunners are apparently looking to bring in a new centre back and 20-year-old Lascelles could be a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen, who is seemingly heading for a summer exit.
Lascelles has recently forced his way into Forest's first team and has impressed with a number of powerful displays at the heart of the club's defensive line. The England under-20 international has long been tracked by Arsenal and the Gunners had a bid rejected for him back in 2011.
With two and a half years left on his current contract, Forest are expecting to redeem at least £10.5 million for the coveted youngster's signature.
Steve Rowley, who watched Lascelles in action last month, has sent a glowing reference back to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
