Nemanja Matic set for Chelsea return?

Benfica midfield star Nemanja Matic could be set to make a return to Chelsea in a deal with £20m during the January transfer window.

The Serbian international, who joined the Blues in 2009, failed to make any impression in the first-team as he was limited to just two appearances for the West London outfit before his departure to Primeira Liga giants Benfica in 2011.


Matic has been attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks, but according to SkySports, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to pay a fee of around £20m for the player's services in January.


The 25-year-old has made 22 appearances for Benfica in all competitions this season.
