Man Utd monitoring Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic
David Moyes, who was spotted watching Bayern Munich's game against Borussia Monchengladbach yesterday, is reportedly scouting Bayern's striker Mario Mandzukic. The arrival of Robert Lewandowski in the summer looks set to restrict the Croatian's game time at his current club.
Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the 27-year-old forward but Arsene Wenger has yet to have made an official offer for the former Wolfsburg front man. Instead, Man Utd manager Moyes is now ready to swoop for the forward who has returned 13 goals from 25 games so far this season for Munchen.
Mandzukic is expected to find his opportunities restricted with the arrival of the Polish international Lewandowski on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in June.
Moyes is also believed to have been watching German midfielder Patrick Herrmann playing for Monchengladbach.
