Man City chasing Nicolas Otamendi

Argentinian international centre back Nicolas Otamendi is expected to make a transfer move to England before the end of January's transfer window. Both Man Utd and Man City are in the race for his signature.

The Porto centre back is one of Europe's most highly rated defensive prospects and is expected to one day make a move to England. The player's agent has reportedly already been in contact with several Premier League teams.

There had been some suggestion that Otamendi would be moving to England on a loan deal but now there could be a permanent deal in the offing.

The 25-year-old could also prove to be a target for Chelsea, who are looking for a long term replacement for John Terry.
