Real Madrid to move for Arsenal target?

Real Madrid are understood to be ready to challenge Arsenal for German international Julian Draxler, should they fail to sign Liverpool's Luis Suarez in the summer.

The talented Schalke 04 playmaker was strongly linked with a switch to the Gunners during the winter transfer window, but a move failed to materialize.

However, manager Arsene Wenger is prepared to renew his interest in the 20-year-old at the end of the campaign, but is likely to face stiff competition from their La Liga counterparts who could make a transfer offer, should they fail in their pursuit to land Luis Suarez from the Reds in the summer.
