Man Utd to sign AS Roma defender?

Manchester United are understood to have placed Romas defender Mehdi Benatia as their number one target to replace outbound Nemanja Vidic in the summer.

According to The Express, the Red Devils manager David Moyes is keen on signing up the 26-year-old, who has been linked with a switch to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur during the winter transfer window.

Moyes is believed to be preparing for a major squad reshuffle in the summer, and is now ready to renew his interest in the Moroccan star.

Manchester United are currently placed 6th in the Premier League, following their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
