Liverpool monitoring Porto starlet
Liverpool are reportedly set to step up their interest in FC Porto forward Juan Manuel Iturbe in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Italia.
The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on finding a suitable back-up to the likes of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge and Sky Italia reports that the club's official have opened talks with the player’s agent with a view to securing his services in the summer.
Manuel Iturbe is currently plying his trade at Hellas Verona on loan for the season, and Liverpool may fail to secure his signature, should the Italian high-flyers activate the player's buy-out clause of £12.5m in the summer.
The 20-year-old has notched up 5 goals in 23 Serie A games for the Gialloblu.
