Sunderland eye permanent move for Fabio Borini

Sunderland want to make the loan stay of striker Fabio Borini a permanent deal. The Italian international has been in excellent form since taking a season long loan from Liverpool.
The striker has helped Sunderland's campaign since the arrival of Gus Poyet and renewed faith in the forward has certainly encouraged the striker, who has previously had spells with Roma and also Chelsea.
Borini is apparently still in the thoughts of Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers, but it is understood the Anfield side are still open to offers and could yet sell the Italian should a suitable offer be made.
Sunderland signed the likes of Jozy Altidore last summer, but this season Borini is arguably their best striker in what has been a so far mixed campaign.
