Liverpool eye move for West Ham centre-back

Liverpool are reportedly readying a formal bid for West Ham United defender Winston Reid in the summer, according to The Daily Mail.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been tracking the talented New Zealand international over the past few weeks, as he is keen on finding a top-class centre-half to accompany the club's defence ahead of a possible return to the Champions League football next season.
The Daily Mail claims that Reid, who has also been linked with Arsenal since the turn of the year, will be allowed to leave the Hammers at the end of the season, having failed to cement his place in the starting line-up under manager Sam Allardyce since his injury return.
As of now, the Reds look front-runners for the 25-year-old's signature ahead of the Gunners, as they would offer the player with regular first-team opportunities.
