Arsenal lead race for Toulouse defender

Arsenal are understood to be leading the race to sign Ivorian right-back Serge Aurier from Toulouse in the summer.

The talented defender is considered as a potential replacement for French international Bacary Sagna, who looks set to leave the North London outfit at the end of the season.

 

The 21-year-old has been linked with the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United in recent weeks, but Clubcall claims that the Gunners look front-runners to secure his services, with the prospect of offering the player with Champions League football next season.

 

Aurier joined Ligue 1 club Toulouse from Lens in January 2012.
