Liverpool plot move for Micah Richards

Liverpool are reportedly keen on securing the services of Manchester City defender Micah Richards duirng the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has failed to earn a regular place in the City line-up under Manuel Pellegrni this season and recently rebuffed a five-year contract extension as he is keen on a fresh challenge at a new club next season.

 

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing a top-class centre-back this summer, with the future of Daniel Agger still in doubt, and considers the England international as a top target for the role.

 

Richards has only made two appearances for the Citizens in the league this season.
