Chelsea close to signing Mehdi Benatia?

Chelsea are understood to be closing in on the services of Roma star Mehdi Benatia, as they look to find a replacement for David Luiz this summer.

Luiz looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, with La Liga giants Barcelona keen on landing his signature and latest reports reveal that the Blues will compensate their loss with the acquaintance of one of the best defenders from the Serie A in Mehdi Benatia.

 

Manager Jose Mourinho is also keen on signing a top-striker for the next campaign, with the likes of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o all set to leave the West London club.
