Franck Ribery ruled out of World Cup through injury
France midfielder Franck Ribery will miss this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil through injury.
Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps confirmed the bad news insisting that the Bayern star injured his lower back in a training session on Friday.
“He had to stop in training, the pain was too strong,” Deschamps said.“He is not capable of training for a few weeks, let alone play a game.”
In addition to this, Lyon’s Clement Grenier will also miss the major event with an injury. Southampton midfielder Morgan Scheiderlin and Montpellier forward Remy Cabella have been called up as replacements for the injured pair.
