Chelsea have reportedly offered 15 million pounds for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike.

Nigerian playmaker Emenike, scored 11 goals in 27 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig last season and might be the first striker to be bought by Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho this transfer season.

Nigeria were beaten by France yesterday by 2-0 in an encounter where both goals by France were lucky with the second being an own goal.

Emenike had an impressive role in Nigeria's qualification to the Round of 16 in this World Cup and will replace outgoing Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o, whose contract expired yesterday.

The futures of Chelsea's other strikers Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku are still uncertain. Chelsea are almost sure to buy Diego Costa this summer and are also eyeing transfers of Bayern Munich's striker Mario Mandzukic and Pierre Emerick Aubemeyang who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

In 2012-13 season when Emenike played for Spartak Moscow, he scored the fastest goal in the history of the Russian league when he scored within ten seconds of kick-off in the opening game of the season.
