Chelsea agree Diego Costa transfer

Chelsea have agreed a fee for Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa and the player will sign a four year contract at Stamford Bridge. The Spain international has been locked in talks with the Blues for over three weeks and both clubs have now finally agreed terms.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had made the signing of a new striker his top priority this summer and will have been delighted to have secured the services of one of Europe's most deadly finishers.

The Blues confirmed on their Twitter account that a deal had been agreed: "Agreement reached with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa."
