Newcastle to bolster defence with Micah Richards move?

Newcastle are hoping to bring Micah Richards to St James' Park as a replacement for Mathieu Debuchy. Debuchy is on the verge of a move to Arsenal.

Richards has struggled for many seasons to force his way into Man City's first team on a regular basis and has decided enough is enough and instructed his agent to find him a new club.

Many teams are sure to be interested in the England international full back but Newcastle are apparently leading the race.

The Toon Army have also been linked with a move for Dutch right back Daryl Janmaat.
