Tottenham enter race to sign Ryan Bertrand
Tottenham have made a transfer offer for Chelsea left back Ryan Bertrand. Spurs have reportedly decided against making a move for Swansea full back Ben Davies after the deal hit a last minute hitch.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham are considering a move for the 24-year-old, with Bertrand desperate to quit Stamford Bridge in search of regular first team football. Jose Mourinho has told Bertrand that he is free to leave the club.
Chelsea have already released Ashley Cole, who has gone on to join Italian side Roma, so it is understood the Blues are set to sign a new full back as a top priority shortly.
