Liverpool yet to make formal approach for Wilfried Bony
Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has demanded Liverpool to make a formal offer for their striker Wilfried Bony, rather than having talks with the player behind the club's back.
Jenkins has revealed that the Swans are shocked on hearing reports that Liverpool were talking to the Ivory Coast international, and insisted that the club are yet to receive an official bid from the Reds for the striker.
"I was very surprised to hear, and disappointed to hear, that Liverpool had gone down that route and were talking to the player behind my club's back," He said. "I'm disappointed that Liverpool are acting in that manner. No official approach has been made to me or our football club."
Bony joined the Welsh outfit from Vitesse Arnhem last summer.
