Rio Ferdinand to join QPR on two year contract
Queens Park Rangers have wrapped up a deal to sign Rio Ferdinand on a free transfer. The former Man Utd and England star will move to Harry Redknapp's side on a two year contract this afternoon.
At the beginning of the summer, QPR were linked with a mega money double move for both Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard, but have seemingly admitted defeat in their efforts to secure a deal for Lampard and have won the race to secure a deal for Rio.
The centre back had also been linked with a move to numerous teams on the continent, but QPR have won the race for his signature.
