Keylor Navas transfer to Madrid confirmed
Real Madrid have signed a deal to sign Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas following his outstanding World Cup campaign with Costa Rica.
The 27-year-old helped Costa Rica progress from the "group of death" which included England, Italy and Uruguay but they bowed out the World Cup following a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat against Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
His fine performances in Brazil had caught the attention of Real Madrid who have met Navas' release clause of €10 million.
Navas, who held talks with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich before agreeing a deal to join Real Madrid, will compete with talented goalkeepers Diego Lopez and Iker Casillas for a first team spot at Santiago Bernebeu.
Both Lopez and Casillas are both expected to stay at Real Madrid despite Navas' arrival in Madrid.
