Juan Quintero to Arsenal?
Juan Quintero to Arsenal?
The Gunners have a number of attacking talents at their disposal, but apparently they just can’t get enough as they have their eyes set on yet another exciting addition.
Reports from Portugal yesterday indicated that Arsenal had their eyes firmly trained on Porto starlet Juan Quintero.
Some suggestions had Porto's asking price in the region of £15.8million, but the player's agent has moved to confirm it is indeed much higher than what is reported in widespread rumours.
"Porto never talked to negotiate Juan Quintero," he is quoted as saying by MaisFutebol.
"Sure there are clubs interested, there is much interest in the player, the clubs in Spain and England, but to leave would be one willing to pay the termination clause of the club (€40m)."
Juan Fernando Quintero Paniagua is a Colombian by nationality and plays as an attacking midfielder for his team as well as his country on international level. Having scored 4 goals in 34 appearances for Porto in the 2013-2014 season at the age of 21, Quintero is a rising talent. Arsene Wenger might just be keeping the future in mind if he is looking forward if he moves to sign the forward.
The switch, however, looks unlikely as Porto have set up a €40 million buy out clause in an attempt to thwart away the Gunners.
