AC Milan meet with Arsenal to discuss Joel Campbell loan

Arsenal and AC Milan executives met on Sunday evening to discuss a potential loan move for Joel Campbell. The Costa Rica international striker is wanted by Milan to spearhead their attack for the upcoming season.

The Gunners have already acquired Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona this summer and Yaya Sanogo's impressive four goal haul against Benfica on Saturday seems to put him in the running for a place in Arsenal's first team as well this season. That leaves youngster Joel Campbell unlikely to feature in Wenger's squad.

Subsequently, Arsenal are now ready to let Campbell join AC Milan on loan for the next campaign.

The Gunners and Milan are expected to wrap up a deal before the end of this week.
