Arsenal target La Liga midfielder

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to make a summer offer for Atletico Madrid's holding midfielder Joshua Guilavogui, according to the Star.

The 23-year-old joined the La Liga champions from Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne last summer, but failed to make any impact as he featured just once for the Basque club all season.

The Star claims that the Gunners are ready to make a move for the midfielder, with the club having cooled their interest in Real Madrid star Sami Khedira. The report also suggests that the North London club will make a bid of around £11.5m for the French international, but will have to face stiff competition from Wolfsburg, who are believed to be monitoring the player's situation.

Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market this summer, having already sealed deals for the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina and Calum Chambers.
