Happy to have joined Liverpool, says Balotelli
Italian striker Mario Balotelli is delighted after completing his much anticipated move to English club Liverpool earlier today.
The 24-year-old joined the Anfield club in a £16 million transfer from Italian giants AC Milan, making a return to the Premier League after already having spent close to three seasons in England with Manchester City from 2010-13.
And the player, who made 54 appearances and scored on 30 occasions for the Red and Blacks since his debut in 2013, is ecstatic on being a part of what he deems to be ‘one of the best’ club in the country.
“I'm very happy. We've been talking about coming here and now I'm happy to be here”, he told in an interview to Liverpool’s official website.
“Liverpool are one of the best teams here in England and the football is very good here. It's a great team with young players, and that's why I came here”, the former Inter Milan player added.
Balotelli, who watched the Reds take on the Citizens from the stands today, will most likely make his debut for Brendan Rodgers’ side, when they play Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
