Cant wait to make my United debut, insists Rojo

Marcos Rojo is keen to get on the field with Manchester United and hopes to get a chance against QPR

Manchester United defender Marco Rojo insists he can’t wait to get on the field with the Red Devils after the Argentine international finally got his work permit on Thursday.

The 24-year-old joined the Old Trafford side in a £16 million transfer from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon this summer, but had been forced to watch the games from the bench since his move because of a delay in the visa application process.

He missed his side’s Premier League ties against Sunderland and Burnley and their League Cup fixture against MK Dons, but with UK’s visa agency confirming the required paperback, the centre-back will now be hoping to make his debut for Louis van Gaal’s side along with new signings Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao, when they host Queen Park Rangers on 14th September.

“I am desperate to get onto the field and play because I have not been able to step onto Old Trafford [yet]”, Rojo was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.

The former Spartak Moscow player also insists that moving to England has changed a lot and has been of the most important steps in his career so far.

“My life has changed a lot”, he said.

“I am very happy to be at Manchester United, a top team in the world, sharing a dressing room with players like Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Angel Di Maria and now Radamel Falcao.

“This is a very important step in my career as a player and as a person. Everything that has happened to me since the World Cup has been a dream”, the young player added.
