Thierry Henry heading back to Arsenal
Legendary striker Thierry Henry could make a sensational return to Arsenal once his contract expires with New York Red Bulls in December.
The former France international joined the Gunners from Juventus in the summer of 1999, and was nurtured by manager Arsene Wenger into one of the finest players to have played the game.
Henry left the Gunners in the summer of 2007 for Barcelona, where he spent three seasons, before making his switch to the Major League Soccer with New York Red Bulls.
Recent reports had revealed that the 37-year-old is unlikely to sign a new deal at Red Bulls, and will leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the season.
It is also understood that Wenger would be open to the player's arrival at the Emirates on a player-coach role.
Henry scored 228 goals in 376 appearances for the Gunners.
