Aston Villa open talks for Scott Sinclair

Man City winger Scott Sinclair is expected to quit the Etihad Stadium this month in favour of a move to another Premier League club. Aston Villa are understood to be leading the three horse race for the former Swansea City striker's signature.

Sinclair has been told by manager Manuel Pellegrini that he can leave the club and several teams have expressed interest in the speedy forward. However, it is Aston Villa that are understood to have beaten Sunderland and Burnley for Sinclair's signature.

Aston Villa will agree a loan package with City for the next six months and then will have the option to make a deal permanent for Sinclair come next summer.
