Liverpool defender to snub Crystal Palace

Liverpool's out-of-favour defender Jose Enrique looks set to snub a loan move to Crystal Palace as he is keen on fighting for his place at the Merseyside.

The Spanish defender joined the Reds from Newcastle United in 2012, and has been regular at the club since then.

However, with the arrival of summer signing Alberto Moreno at Anfield, Enrique has struggled to earn sufficient game-time in recent months.

Recent reports revealed that the talented left-back could be heading to South London with the Eagles on loan for the remainder of the campaign, but Enrique has now decided to rebuff any offers to leave the club in order to fight for his place in the first-team.
