Francis Coquelin to sign new Arsenal deal
French midfielder Francis Coquelin looks set to earn a new deal at Arsenal following his emergence into the first-team.
The talented midfielder had spent the first-half of the season on loan at Championship side Charlton Athletic, where he was regarded as one of the stand-out players on the pitch.
Having been called back to the Gunners, the former Lorient youngster has blossomed in the holding midfield role, forcing regular Mathieu Flamini to be benched by manager Arsene Wenger.
According to The Mirror, Coquelin's current deal at Arsenal expires at the end of the season, and the club are likely to offer a long-term deal with a signifant pay-rise in the next few days.
